There are definitely books out there that push for something other than following parenting instincts.

http://whynottrainachild.com/2010/11/30/instinctsJennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16334119521877840064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5432725100728639437.post-3670461985517484642010-11-29T23:02:32.461-05:002010-11-29T23:02:32.461-05:00It sucks that it's so difficult for many famil...It sucks that it's so difficult for many families to make it on one income anymore. :( We're making it, but it's not easy, and we rarely have money for anything "extra." We'd be in a much more comfortable place financially if I was working too, but I know that's not what I'm called to be doing right now. When Isaac's a little older, though... it may be a different story. ;)Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16334119521877840064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5432725100728639437.post-34169025724753567142010-11-29T19:21:48.532-05:002010-11-29T19:21:48.532-05:00I find your approach to parenting and what I have ...I find your approach to parenting and what I have encountered in my almost 4 years of licensed childcare experience such a funny mix. Not funny "haha" necessarily. For example, it never ceases to amaze me when a child is left all day in a classroom when the parent knows that he or she is sick and should stay home to be nurtured. It's a bummer to live in a society where some people have children they can only afford to raise if they bring them rain or shine for virtual strangers to watch all day. Sigh.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14500948284059153334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5432725100728639437.post-55151643965010970532010-11-29T08:17:49.075-05:002010-11-29T08:17:49.075-05:00Thanks! :)Thanks! :)Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16334119521877840064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5432725100728639437.post-76450608368783910092010-11-29T08:01:49.631-05:002010-11-29T08:01:49.631-05:00Great post!
